1911- Born July 25th; father was Hiroshi Yoshida

1915- Began drawing supervised by his father

1925- His father began to make woodblock prints in his own studio. Toshi cut his first woodblocks for the print "Crab".

1929- Hiroshi and Toshi climbed and camped at Mt. Hakubayari. Toshi sketched "Raicho" near their tent.

November 3rd, his first trip with his father to India follows this schedule: Kobe to Singapore by NYK Line, Iyo-Maru, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Jahore, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Rangoon, Calcutta. To Darjeeling by train; to Tiger Hill by Ricksha (sketched sunrise); Calcutta to Bodhgaya, Varanasi, Lucknow, Agra, Fatepur Sikri, Sanchi, and Delhi.

1931- Attended Taiheiyo Art School studying charcoal drawing and oil painting for a period of four years.

1936- Hiroshi and Toshi went to China, Korea and Darien, where Hiroshi had an exhibition of prints. Toshi traveled in the area after the show was completed.

1938- Created "Shinjuku" and "Supper Wagon".

1939-Exhibited two oil paintings in Hokkaido at Taiheiyo Art Exhibition. Created "Ryogoku Bridge".,"Iidabashi", and Kikuzaka Street". "Ryogoku Bridge" was self-cut.

1940- Married Kiso Katsura. Created "Okaramon", "Nikko", and "Matsumoto". "Okaramon" was self-cut.

1941- Exhibited oil painting "Indian Costume" at Taiheiyo Art Exhibition. Created "Sacred Grove" (self-cut), "Linnoji Garden" (self-cut) "Benkei Bridge".

1942- "Shirasagi Castle" (self-cut), "Pagoda in Kyoto" (self-cut), "Tenryu River" (self-cut), "Yodo River" (self-cut).

1950- Hiroshi died.

1951- Became member of the Japan Print Association.

1952-53- Traveled in the United States and Europe.

1954- Lectured and demonstrated woodblock printing at the Art Institute of Chicago, Yale University, and Philadelphia Museum of Fine Art.

1956- Entered Lugano Bienniale Exhbition with the print "From the Star".

1961- Began to make 16mm film on Japanese printmaking. Finished it in 1966.

1963- Began to publish Japanese Printmaking, published by Charles Tuttle and Co.

1966- Traveled extensively in the United States, demonstrated woodblock printing at: Honolulu Academy of Art, Cincinnati Art Museum, Oklahoma City Art Center.

1967- Traveled in Africa and Europe.

1970- Demonstration of Japanese printmaking at Augsburg College, Minneapolis; Montclair Museum, Montclair, N.J.; Carnegie-Mellon University, Pittsburgh; Dayton Art Institute; Ohio State University; Oklahoma City Art Center; Arkansas State University; University of Dallas; South Methodist University; Louisiana State University, among others.

1971- Traveled to the United States - lecturing. Sketched "Monument Valley" and "Mt. Ranier".

1972- Traveled to Africa.

1974- Traveled extensively in the United States, lecturing and demonstrating Japanese woodblock printing. Did sketch for "Peggy's Cove".

1975- Completed "Cormorant's Island", "Sea Fishes", "Taxco Mexico", "Peggy's Cove", and "Desert and Cloud".

1976-84- Traveled in Africa and completed African wildlife prints.

1985- Won the Nippon Prize for Yomiuri Newspaper and the Children's Book Prize by Sankei Newspaper.

1986- Created prints for "The Hommage of Nobel Prize" in Sweden.

1990- Series of Wildlife Animal Books was published.

1994- Suffered a stroke.

1995-Died in July.
